Amplify your teacher advantage.

You may not know it, but you already have monster skills that take most EdTech sales reps years to figure out. What are your sales superpowers? And how do you apply them?

You've inspired students, managed classrooms, collaborated with colleagues, and navigated fast-moving standards and systems. Now, you're pursuing a new career in EdTech—or you just landed a role!—and want to leverage your passion for education an an innovative industry.

No doubt you've already heard that your teaching skills are incredibly valuable in EdTech, and they sure are. But many transitioning teachers miss out on a wider world of opportunities in the industry because... well... sales.

For many educators, the word "sales" conjures up icky images. In fact, many of my trainees who recently transitioned from the classroom don't even like to admit they're in sales!

But the great sellers in EDU and EdTech companies aren’t pushy. They’re helpful, understanding, and strategic.

In EdTech, "sales" means:

  • Deeply understanding the challenges and needs of schools and districts.
  • Building mutually respectful relationships based on trust and shared goals.
  • Clearly communicating value in a way that educators appreciate.
  • Problem-solving by demonstrating how innovative solutions can truly make a difference.

These are the very skills you've already used and excelled at as a teacher. You just need to apply them in a new, exciting context.
